Promising Pages envisions a world where generations of children are raised in book-rich environments, giving them the opportunity to learn, dream, and achieve. We’re working towards this vision by providing free books to children who need them most, but we can’t do that without your help. Here are five ways you can become a part of making the future a brighter place for the children in our community:
1. Keep Reading Within Reach, All Year Long
Your generosity keeps our organization running and children reading. Donating…
- $25 provides 5 brand new books to ignite a child’s curiosity and joy for reading.
- $50 supplies a family with a steady stream of books for an entire year.
- $250 keeps 100 students reading and learning during the summer months.
- $500 seeds home libraries for an entire classroom of children.
- $1,000+ transforms a whole grade level with hundreds of books and lasting home libraries.
Donating monthly makes it easy to budget your contributions while ensuring kids always have books to count on. Get started on our donation page.
2. Host a Book Drive and Share Thousands of Stories
Rally your friends, coworkers, customers, or neighbors to collect children’s books for local kids. Hosting a book drive is an easy, meaningful way to support literacy in our community. We’ll provide the tools and guidance to help make your book drive a success.
3. Prepare Books for Their New Homes as a Volunteer
Every book that leaves Promising Pages passes through the hands of volunteers. Help clean, repair, and sort donated children’s books so local children can receive books they’ll be proud to call their own. Gather your coworkers, friends, family, or community group for a hands-on volunteer experience that directly supports literacy in our community. Sign up to volunteer in-person!
4. Write the Next Chapter with your Business
No matter the size of your company, we make giving back easy. Sponsor a Promising Pages event to support local children, strengthen literacy, and connect your brand with thousands of engaged families, educators, and community members.
