Promising Pages’ 2024–2025 Impact Report tells a story of growth, generosity, and community action. Over the past year, we’ve strengthened our presence in the Charlotte Area Book Desert, bringing books, literacy resources, and hope to children and families.
Our Bookseed program expanded into six more affordable housing communities, giving residents of all ages access to free books and literacy resources right where they live. More than 12,700 elementary students chose books to take home for the summer, helping reduce learning loss and sparking a love of reading.
Thanks to book donations, drives, wish list purchases, and financial support, a total of 265,134 books were shared across the Charlotte region. Dedicated volunteers and 197 community partners helped us fill bookshelves and put books into the hands of kids that might not have had access otherwise.
