This February, join Read With HEART, a community-wide celebration of books, bookstores, and literacy to benefit children across our community who have few, if any, books at home.
From World Read Aloud Day (Feb. 4) to Read Across America Day (Mar. 2), book lovers, book clubs, retailers, and sponsors will rally together to raise $20,000, helping place thousands of books into the hands of children who need them most.
Led by Promising Pages – The Charlotte Area Book Bank, Read With HEART turns the joy of reading into meaningful action that supports free book access, strengthens local literacy, and uplifts the bookstores and readers who make our community thrive.

Why It Matters
Promising Pages is the region’s primary source of free books, serving over 60,000 children annually through schools and more than 200 community partners. Many of the children we serve grow up without access to books at home, creating barriers to reading, academic success, and opportunities.
Read With HEART helps close that gap by:
