After a quarter life crisis, Kelly ditched her marketing career and went back to school in order to realize her passion for serving children. Since then Kelly has worked with thousands of children from as far away as Bosnia and Austin, TX. Before moving home to Charlotte, she spent six years in the D.C. area working with children with disabilities in performing arts and therapeutic settings. Kelly joined the Promising Pages team in 2016, after serving children and families experiencing homelessness in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. In the end, it was Promising Pages’ mission that led her to become part of the organization. “As dream jobs go, you can’t get any better than being around books every day and helping children fall in love with them.”
